Welcome to Southington North Concessions
Our concession stands are one of leading sources of income for Southington North Little League. However, these concession stands are solely run by volunteers like you. In order for our concession stands to be successful, they must be open during all regular season and playoff games. Here is what is required.
Major’s Field Concession Stand: (Near the tennis courts)
Who does this apply to? The Home Team on the Major's Field!
What is required? The Home Team will be required to run the concession stand for all of their Home Games. Each family of a player is required to sign up for at least (1) time slot.
How long is the time slot? each time slot is about 2 hours.
How do I sign up?
A google form link was shared with each team manager who has games on the Major's Field. The form is specific to your team only. This is compiled list of your Home games. Each team will have roughly 5-6 regular season games. The forms will be adjusted once the playoff schedule is established.
Note 1: Each Team parent will be responsible for tracking volunteer status for their home games. The Team parent will have access to the google sheet for tracking purposes. The google sheet has a tab for each team who has a game on the major's field.
Note 2: Home team coaches will open the concession stand and turn on the hood, fryer, grill, and open the concession window. This is also a good time to hang the flag in center field!
Minor’s Field Concession Stand: (near woodruff street)
Who does this apply to? any team with games on the minor’s field
What is required? The home team is to open the minor’s concession stand and provide (1) volunteer for the 1st half of the game (~1 hour), the visiting team is to provide (1) volunteer for the second half of the game. If the away team is not from Southington North, i.e. interleague games, then the home team is to provide (1) volunteer for the entire game.
How long is the time slot? if each team is from Southington North, then 1 hour. If the away team is not from Southington North, then 2 hours.
How do I sign up? The minors and farm coaches are responsible to ensure there is volunteer coverage of their team parents for each game.
Note: The minor’s concession stand has the most shade and is the best seat in the house to watch a game!
The concession sub-committee and board have put a ton of time into getting these concessions up and running. The amount of effort it takes to get this together is simply incredible. Please keep in mind that your volunteer time is adding value to the league where we can continue to maintain our fields and provide the best experience for our youth.
